Isle of Caprona

Isle of Caprona navigates through topography neither before or after human civilization. Inspired by the novel The Land That Time Forgot by Edgar Rice Burroughs, Caprona is a lost island where every stage of evolution occurs at once. The 16 mm film montages original and found footage treated with a variety of scratch, paint, mark-making, and chemical additives to connect the alchemic properties of film with the temporality of landscape.
